Today we are planning our own instructions - we have already looked at instructions for how to catch a rat and how to catch a child - now it is the children's choice - what will their instructions be about? How to catch a troll? Unicorn? Lion? Their choice. Here are the instructions we learned about how to catch a rat - today the children will be drawing pictures to help them plan their own instructions which they will write independently tomorrow.

R.E

Today we will begin learning about the Christian celebration Easter - we will start by seeing what the children know about Jesus' life - birth? any miracles they may have heard of. If they do not remember much I will look through the children's bible and pick out some stories about Jesus so they get a sense of how special he was and how people looked up to him. I will teach the children the word disciples. I will then begin to teach the children some of the events that happened before Jesus' death e.g. Palm Sunday, the Last Supper etc.

School Radio - Assemblies KS1 - Palm Sunday - Dan the Donkey (bbc.co.uk)

(We will continue with this later in the week and begin to tell the story of Jesus' death and resurrection and discuss how sadness is turned into joy)
