Today I would like the children to write their own instructions independently. They can use the plans they made yesterday to help them. You could help to ensure they are writing them correctly by asking them how instructions are different to stories before they start and remind them if they are unsure (e.g. command sentences, starting on new lines).

D.T

Today the children are making their own mechanisms  (moving picture) to match a part of the Pied Piper story we learned earlier in the half term. If you have split pins perhaps you could have a go too? If not perhaps talk about the 3 different mechanisms made at school. If you have any books with moving pictures you could talk about how they move.

Today we will begin learning about the Christian celebration Easter - we will start by seeing what the children know about Jesus' life - birth? any miracles they may have heard of. If they do not remember much I will look through the children's bible and pick out some stories about Jesus so they get a sense of how special he was and how people looked up to him. I will teach the children the word disciples. I will then begin to teach the children some of the events that happened before Jesus' death e.g. Palm Sunday, the Last Supper etc.

School Radio - Assemblies KS1 - Palm Sunday - Dan the Donkey (bbc.co.uk)

(We will continue with this later in the week and begin to tell the story of Jesus' death and resurrection and discuss how sadness is turned into joy)
