Here are the words we will be learning to spell at school this week. They are homophones - words that sound the same but have different meanings. If you have time it would be great for the children to learn them at home too. The spelling test will be on Friday
Maths Homework
This week we have been learning to add and subtract single digits to numbers up to 100, by putting the largest number in our heads and then either counting on or back.
I have set 2 tasks on My Maths for the children to do linked to what they have been doing at school. (Some children have needed a 100 square to help them, if you google 100 square you will find ones for the children to use to count on or back with)
If your child is eager you can of course continue to work on TT Rockstars and we have been playing on Robot More or Less too as an extra.
Reading Homework
Library books back on Wednesday
Reading books back on Monday and then they will be sent home again on Thursday
Reading for pleasure
It was National Poetry Day last week so we have been reading, watching and enjoying a few poems this week, feel free to find some poems to read and enjoy
Many thanks for your ongoing support
